Emma Cambourne

I have been practising Mindfulness since 2015 and have found it has had a significantly positive impact on my life.   I began by completing the Mindfulness-based stress reduction programme (MBSR) and have since completed a range of courses including Mindfulness for women.

I trained as Mindfulness teacher through the Mindfulness Now programme.   This certified teacher training is approved by The British Psychological Society and includes specialist tuition in mindfulness approaches, including the Mindfulness Now Programme which integrates key elements of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).  Both are evidence based and the latter is recommended by NICE.

Within my mindfulness work, I support those with a range of psychological conditions including anxiety, depression, stress as well as physical conditions such as chronic pain.  I work with children and young people as well as adults, either individually or in groups, virtually or face to face.

My background is 21 years in education, working in mainstream and special schools, mainly with autistic pupils and those with complex speech, language and communication needs.
